The Lake Villa Timberwolves are members of the Northwest Chicago Youth Lacrosse Federation (NWCYLF). NWCYLF spring lacrosse is a competitive area league with weekly regular season games running from April to June and capped by an end of season league tournament. Teams practice three times per week. Practices involve the basic fundamentals in stick work, game play, and sportsmanship. As the team progresses, more advanced techniques and plays are introduced.
During the spring, the Timberwolves field teams from the U9 to U15 age groups. At U9 and U11, focus is on fundamentals and teamwork. At U13 and U15, teams are divided into A and B levels. The B level is for players new to the sport and\or working on developing fundamental lacrosse skills. The A level is for skilled lacrosse players ready to compete at a high level and preparing for High School lacrosse.
